Q2 2019 ConnectWise product update

| By: Jeff Bishop

Two of the core values at ConnectWise are: obsess with partner (customer) success and breathe innovation. It’s at the heart of what we do day in and day out, which means we’re continuously striving to bring our partners software enhancements and features that make it easier to run their organizations more efficiently and productively.

Check out the latest developments to the solutions you use every day that were recently announced at IT Nation Explore 2019.

Look and feel

Have you seen the redesigned ConnectWise Customer Portal? It offers a one-stop shop for your most time-consuming customer interactions—customers can submit tickets, check on ticket status, and easily pay invoices in one easy-to-use modern interface that’s customizable to represent your brand.

For ConnectWise Control®, we also redesigned the host client by reassembling menus into large, clickable tiles, arranging the tiles horizontally, and organizing them by feature. Additionally, we added bright highlight colors to indicate selected states and included both dark and light modes.

Security enhancements

We've released single sign-on for all applications. This not only gives you peace of mind with the data you have stored but also gives you a single location to manage all users access to all applications.

With single sign-on, you’ll get access to the ConnectWise Portal which gives you user management, multi-factor authentication, credential management, API protection, reporting, and the ability to import members, manage password policies, easily add/remove users, and enable trials.

Simplification and efficiency

We’re continuously listening to your feedback on the product enhancements you need to be more efficient. The latest update to ConnectWise Sell® brings you the ability to mark special orders, indicate when certain items need to be ordered together, and an update to the Ingram Micro® catalog price feed.

We know that the impression you make on the end user is critical. We've completely updated the ticket communication options in ConnectWise Manage®, giving you more control. Rich text format will allow you to do things like bold, italicize, underline, create bulleted lists, and more! While the ability to add inline images and screenshots to time entries and emails will give you a more descriptive and helpful email to your customers. This is available now in 2019.4 pilot and will be in the general release for 2019.5

Having accurate knowledge about your organization and the teams you manage is crucial to making business decisions that better your different teams. With ConnectWise Now, you’ll be able to access and view all application data from a single screen. This gives you a single location to manage all areas of your business from sales and marketing to service and finance. Having the aggregate data in a single location gives you more control over your business than ever before.

With the ConnectWise Control and ConnectWise Automate® integrations, you can now easily start a ConnectWise Control session with the end user without ever having to leave the ConnectWise Automate window. With this update, you’ll gain increased efficiency for your techs and a better customer experience.

New product offering: ConnectWise Identify

It's no secret that MSPs are a prime target for cyberattacks today. You hold the keys to all your customers' data, making it easy for a cybercriminal to score big with one hit. However, we've found that most MSPs aren't doing enough to protect themselves from the embarrassment and business-crippling costs of one bad attack.

A smart internal security strategy starts by understanding your greatest risk areas. ConnectWise Identify® allows you to assess your risk posture, identify where to start, and create a game plan for fortifying your own business. By starting on yourself, you learn about the risk assessment process before bringing it to customers and can show credibility by saying you run the same assessment on your own business.

ConnectWise Identify free 30-day trial includes with two full risk assessments—one to perform on themselves, one to perform on a customer.

Above and beyond just products

While the products are a critical part of business success. It takes more than just products to achieve true success.
