Meet Abbie Tioseco, Senior Manager, Documentation in our Education team at ConnectWise. Abbie has been an integral part of the ConnectWise team for over 10 years. We explore her journey at ConnectWise, as well as how she continues to support colleagues and partners with educational materials.

Being a ConnectWise colleague…

What different roles have you had at ConnectWise?

I started out as an individual contributor, a Technical Communicator on the Consulting and Education team with Kathy Smith back in 2010. From then, the team grew steadily as we acquired and supported more products. I was promoted into the Documentation Manager role in 2015 to help lead the documentation efforts for three business management products, in addition to other ConnectWise products and services.

What do you enjoy about working at ConnectWise?

What I enjoy the most about working at ConnectWise is getting to work with an amazing team. They are smart, innovative, committed to helping colleagues and partners, and they have a great sense of humor.

What’s something about your job that makes you feel accomplished?

Our partners are busy and have a lot on their plate. If the product documentation, release notes, in-app messages, and emails help them learn about a new feature or resolve an issue they’ve experienced, that is fulfilling for my team and me. I’m also proud of the accomplishments I’ve been able to support when it comes to new colleagues' cultural onboarding, giving back to the community via the ConnectWise Philanthropy group, and being part of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) council.

What’s something that you want people to know about ConnectWise?

There’s something for everyone in ConnectWise University, our online platform for educational and training resources. There are many different types of education opportunities (monthly webinars and certifications) and self-help materials (documentation, blueprints, how-to videos) available on the platform. Give the University search a try and see what learning asset you can use to build your ConnectWise product expertise and grow your business.

What’s a big win that you’re proud of?

I’m really grateful to be part of the DEI council at ConnectWise. The council consists of colleagues from across the organization, from many different backgrounds and experiences. We’ve come up with initiatives focused on bringing equity and belonging to colleagues with the support of our leadership teams. We’ve worked to conduct third-party diversity training to help colleagues and hiring managers to remove unconscious bias. We’ve also focused on ensuring our current colleagues have career growth opportunities.

And now for some fun!

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

I adore karaoke and will sing just about anything with a great beat to get people in a party mood. I recently sang Butter by BTS, complete with dance moves.

What’s a country you’d like to visit?

Plans are in the works to visit South Korea for all the amazing food, culture, and music! I’d also get to practice the language, which I’ve been learning since the start of the pandemic.

What is one of your bucket list items?

I’d love to take a cooking class or learn a traditional recipe from every country I visit. Cooking is the way I show love and appreciation—and learning different cuisines is a great way to understand different cultures and keep tummies happy.
