For more than a decade, Danielle Jackson, a seasoned professional at UDT, has made IT Nation Connect™ Global a foundational part of her journey in the managed services provider (MSP) space. What began as a search for technical knowledge grew into a long-standing commitment fueled by relationships, collaboration, and the undeniable energy of the ConnectWise community. With 11 consecutive years of attendance, Jackson reflects on why IT Nation Connect remains one of the most valuable events in the industry.

A First Visit Fueled by Learning

Jackson’s early years in MSPs were defined by curiosity and a desire to build expertise quickly. IT Nation Connect became her gateway into understanding the industry. “I first started coming to get all of the information because I was brand new in the MSP space.” 

The sessions, keynote addresses, and immersive environment gave her the foundation she needed. For someone entering a fast moving field like managed services, being surrounded by thought leaders and peers accelerated her learning and confidence.

As her career at UDT evolved, so did the purpose behind attending the event. While Danielle still values the educational content, the relationships she has formed over 11 years have become the real anchor. “Now I keep coming back for those connections that I’ve made to keep growing.” These relationships—fellow MSP leaders, ConnectWise partners, vendors, and industry innovators—form a network that openly shares ideas, challenges, and solutions. After attending for over a decade, Danielle’s focus during the event has evolved. Rather than filling every hour with breakout sessions, she now uses much of that time for intentional collaboration. “I don’t go to the breakouts as much anymore because I use that time to sit down with my peers and talk about what’s going right, what’s going wrong, and how we can help each other.” This shift illustrates how IT Nation Connect adapts to attendees at every stage of their journey: for beginners, it’s about learning; for seasoned MSP leaders like Jackson, it’s about sharing, mentoring, and co-creating solutions.

One of Jackson’s favorite areas of the event is the Solutions Pavilion. It’s more than a vendor hall—it’s an innovation showcase filled with energy and possibility. “The Solutions Pavilion is always amazing. I enjoy seeing what the vendors come up with to make themselves stand out.” Especially on opening night, the excitement is palpable. Vendors are eager to engage, answer questions, and demonstrate how their solutions can drive efficiency or growth for MSPs. “Even if you don’t know what they do, they’ll take five minutes to explain—and you walk away going, ‘Oh my gosh, I need that.’”

A Culture of Work Hard, Play Hard

IT Nation Connect has built a reputation for high-quality social events, and Jackson sees them as an essential part of the experience. “We work hard, but we like to play hard… After a long day of sessions and keynotes, having those parties and getting to just have fun with our peers is amazing.” These after hours events allow attendees to unwind, have real conversations, and deepen the connections formed throughout the day.
