Users can now complete large recovery downloads directly through x360Recover without relying on third-party FTP clients, helping reduce complexity during critical recovery situations.

Faster downloads, simpler recoveries

Recovery Center 1.11.0 delivered download speeds up to four times faster than previous Recovery Center releases for virtual disk export recoveries. This enhancement is enabled by default for virtual disk exports today, with plans to extend these improvements to file and folder recovery (FFR), virtualization, and bare metal recovery (BMR) workflows in future releases. 

The impact is straightforward: 

• Faster data retrieval during recovery events
• Reduced recovery time objectives (RTOs)
• Less operational overhead during emergencies
• Improved IT efficiency
• More streamlined recovery workflow  

The latest release also adds multi-threaded read-ahead data fetching to improve performance when retrieving files and recovery data.

Eliminating the need for third-party FTP clients 

Historically, some users relied on third-party FTP tools to optimize large recovery downloads. While effective, those tools often introduced additional setup, configuration, and troubleshooting requirements during already stressful recovery events. 

The updated Recovery Center helps eliminate those hurdles by allowing organizations to complete high-speed downloads directly within the x360Recover recovery workflow. 

This means teams no longer need to: 

• Install and maintain separate FTP applications
• Train staff on advanced FTP optimization settings
• Troubleshoot inconsistent third-party configurations
• Lose valuable time during urgent recovery scenarios  

Instead, users can work directly within the integrated Recovery Center experience. 

For users previously using LFTP4Win, default Recovery Center 1.11.0 download speeds may be approximately 5% faster out of the box. Highly optimized LFTP4Win configurations may still achieve slightly faster performance in some scenarios, but Recovery Center now delivers enterprise-grade recovery speeds without requiring advanced configuration expertise.
