TAMPA, Fla., February 11, 2015 – ConnectWise acquires ScreenConnect®, a top remote control solution, enhancing its business management platform for tech companies.
ConnectWise ScreenConnect™ versions 23.9.7 and earlier are impacted.
ConnectWise has released a security update for ScreenConnect™ that addresses issues which could allow unauthorized access to configuration data or the installation of untrusted extensions under specific conditions.
ConnectWise has determined that under certain conditions, the ScreenConnect™ Certificate Signing Extension may include encrypted configuration values in responses sent to unauthenticated users. While these values remain encrypted and securely stored at rest, an encrypted representation could still be transmitted through client-facing components.
