Meet Tina Barboza, Partner Development Manager at ConnectWise. Tina has spent almost a decade in the IT sales industry offering customized solutions to clients across different industries. What she enjoys most about her work at ConnectWise is getting to be a part of an amazing community of managed service providers (MSPs) who are dedicated to their businesses and helping them resolve important issues.

Getting started at ConnectWise…  

What did you do before joining ConnectWise?

It's been quite an interesting journey for me. I started my first job in IT sales while studying for my Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. I spent almost a decade in IT service companies, selling customized solutions and offered services to enterprise clients across different industries, including healthcare, insurance, retail chain and customs brokerage. I moved to Australia four years ago and have been working in cybersecurity ever since.

What different roles have you had with the company?   

After working as a Partner Security Executive onboarding new cybersecurity partners, I moved into a Partner Development Manager position where I help partners grow their cybersecurity portfolio, as well as assist with pricing, packaging, marketing and sales initiatives through our ConnectWise Partner Program.

What do you enjoy about working at ConnectWise? 

Throughout my career at ConnectWise, I have worked with amazing colleagues to make our MSPs successful. The relationships I have built with our MSPs have been great, where I guide them through our offerings and help them resolve their important issues. Being a part of such an amazing community of professionals is a true honor—not only are they dedicated to their businesses, but they also take pride in fostering relationships that benefit others as well.

What’s something about your job that makes you feel accomplished?

Assisting partners in growing revenue streams, handling objections, and protecting client information. I find it extremely rewarding to be able to watch their business grow.

What’s a big win that you’re proud of?  

In terms of accomplishment, I am most proud of the fact that my partners are growing their business and succeeding in what they do. In the beginning, it may seem difficult, but once you get it right, you won’t look back. 

What’s something you want people to know about ConnectWise?  

Our team consists of individuals from diverse backgrounds and we bring a variety of perspectives to the company. We prioritize diversity and believe in a culture of collaboration, growth, and innovation. We live and breathe our core values, which gives us an edge over our competitors.

If you could have any superpower for 24 hours, what would it be and why?

Time travel so I can relive certain moments of my life and see the future.   

What’s a country you’d like to visit and why?  

Barbados. It's hard to explain why, but I’ve always been fascinated by this country. When you combine beautiful beaches, delicious food, and interesting music, it makes a heady cocktail.

What’s the bucket-list item you’re most looking forward to?  

Set foot in all seven continents.

What’s your go-to karaoke song?  

 “Y.M.C.A.” by Village People. Although we may not know the full lyrics, but when we hear the line, “It’s fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.”, we certainly know what to do with our arms.
