ConnectWise Named One of Tampa Bay’s Top Workplaces for 6th Year in a Row

2019 marks the ninth time ConnectWise has received the honor

TAMPA, Fla., April 5, 2019ConnectWise has once again been awarded a Top Workplaces honor by The Tampa Bay Times. This marks the sixth consecutive year—and the ninth time overall—that ConnectWise has received the award.

“Our colleagues are the driving force behind our business’ success,” said Jason Magee, CEO of ConnectWise. “Being included in the Top Workplaces list for the sixth consecutive year validates that we’ve built a strong, rewarding culture where each colleague has the opportunity to make a positive impact on our business as well as our partners’ business.”

ConnectWise, which has more than 750 colleagues in Tampa and another 200 in locations across the U.S. and around the globe, was started in Tampa in 1982. The company attributes its success to a work hard, play hard mindset, a team that embraces and encourages innovation, and a group of individuals who are committed to helping others—whether it’s partners, customers, non-profits organizations, or each other. In February 2019, ConnectWise was acquired by Thoma Bravo, LLC, a leading private equity investment firm based in Silicon Valley.

ConnectWise remains committed to maintaining its mantra—born here, growing here—in the Tampa area. Colleagues are rewarded with ownership and a stake in the company. In fact, following the acquisition by Thoma Bravo, the colleague equity plan distributed $270 million to employees. ConnectWise is also focused on helping colleagues grow their careers through annual investments in training and education. Leadership training—from in-house programs to internationally recognized programs such as Berkeley, Harvard, and Wharton—is offered, as well as MBA and other master’s degree tuition matching. The company is dedicated to culture and talent programs that keep colleagues feeling supported and engaged.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

The Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”

In addition to the benefits outlined above, ConnectWise offers comprehensive medical insurance, flextime away, matching 401k, annual incentives to high performers, and competitive annual raises.
