Solution
With that support of the ConnectWise Partner Program, it enabled Libra ICT to upgrade a typical event into something that blended uniqueness, education, and entertainment.

Results
By hosting an event at a local semi-professional soccer venue, it drew a crowd 2X the audience (130-140 guests)

Established in 1987, Libra ICT established itself as a software development company. Specializing in manufacturing, private clients and some business customers. But the organization recognized the need to reposition itself as bad actors and cybersecurity attacks were gaining velocity and evolving in a sophisticated threat landscape. Libra ICT transitioned from private clients to a business-to-business focus, which required more talent, solutions, and services to strengthen their technical stack and support the increased demand.
Bart Veldhuis, Commercial Director, Libra ICT, says: “[Libra] had smaller customers and one-offs but quickly realized that the opportunity was greater. Today, we consider ourselves a security-first MSP.”
But the market was transforming quickly, and Libra needed to align itself with a Partner that not only offered the solutions, but also the expertise and consultative services to help propel them.

In the last six years, Libra has doubled resources and its revenue. They’ve also added ConnectWise SOC services, BrightGauge and IT Boost to help them scale the business better serve its customers. All in, it’s just easier to do business.

For Libra, there are many business benefits, but Veldhuis says, “the greatest benefit we receive from the ConnectWise partnership is our ability to close the time gap. We can spin up quickly, and we have a ton of resources to help guide us through.”
Partner Event Marketing
With respect to sales, the Libra team approaches things a bit differently. They are a relationship-based MSP, and one that believes in education-based event marketing not ‘selling’ in a transactional nature. With the help of the ConnectWise Partner Program, they have been able to take their event to the next level.
“We had the support of ConnectWise SMEs at the event to talk through the products and solutions. Our goal is never to ‘sell’ someone but to expose them to the expertise that we can deliver.”
Mixing education and entertainment, they hosted a night out at a soccer venue - complete with food, drinks, and tickets to the match.
