The ConnectWise Partner Summit, dubbed the "largest MSP-centric, face-to- face conference of the year" by MSPmentor, drew more than 1,000 attendees to the Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa in Orlando, Fla. The annual event brings IT 'solution providers', technology exhibitors, and speakers together to study IT industry trends, share best practices and learn new ways to deliver cutting-edge technologies and services to business of all sizes and vertical markets.
"For Evolve Technologies, both ConnectWise and the ConnectWise Partner Summit have proven to be effective resources in the arsenal of tools we utilize to grow our business," said Dave Sobel, CEO of Fairfax, Va.-based Evolve Technologies and one of this year's Partner Summit award winners. "The Summit sharpens our focus on industry trends and proven business-building practices by offering opportunities to network with industry peers and exchange ideas, while the software application provides valuable insight into every aspect of our operations."
This year's ConnectWise Partner Summit focused on IT's Next Wave: Strategies for Success. Keynote speakers, Nick Carr and Harry Beckwith, enlightened Partner Summit attendees on new market opportunities, like cloud computing, and ways for IT solution providers to best position their businesses to take advantage of these trends. Carr regarded by numerous business and technology publications as a leading thinker on information technology, is the author of such widely acclaimed books as "Does IT Matter?" and "The Big Switch: Rewiring the World, from Edison to Google." Beckwith is a world-renowned, award-winning sales and marketing consultant who has helped 23 Fortune 200 companies enhance their brand and market presence. He is also author of "Selling the Invisible," which spent 36 consecutive months on the Business Week bestseller list and was named one of the top-10 business and management books of all time.
Guests also had a chance to check out a technology showcase, which featured the latest IT solutions, providing a detailed look into rapidly advancing technology categories. Interactive panel discussions with technology solution providers delved into leading topics on the minds of those at the forefront of technology. A wide scope of IT disciplines ranging from managed services, network security and wireless networks to storage area networks and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) were also covered.
"The ConnectWise Partner Summit is unquestionably the best event we attend each year," said Clinton Gatewood, vice president of business development for Zenith Infotech (www.zenithinfotech.com) and long-time event sponsor. "The program quality is outstanding and provides an unparalleled learning experience for our business partners, many of whom are ConnectWise users. ConnectWise does an exceptional job delivering value for everyone attending Partner Summit."
"As a first-time exhibitor at the ConnectWise Partner Summit, our executive team was quite impressed with the range and experience levels of solution providers attending the event," noted Annette Taber, Interlink (www.interlinkweb.com) executive vice president of sales and marketing. "As an internetworking and VoIP specialty distributor, we're looking to expand our footprint with prospective customers outside our traditional scope and the ConnectWise Partner Summit provides an excellent venue for this."
