ConnectWise Named a ‘Fast 50’ Company

Tampa Bay Business Journal Fast 50 logoTAMPA, Fla. – June 27, 2008 – Tampa Bay Business Journal has named ConnectWise one of the Tampa Bay area’s 50 fastest-growing privately held companies based on its annual sales growth over the past three years. The Tampa business community will recognize ConnectWise and the other ‘Fast 50’ companies at a luncheon July 17, when a ranking of the top 50 will be unveiled.

From its start as a computer repair and instruction business in 1982, ConnectWise has evolved in step with sea changes in the technology industry, like managed services, enabling its customers to optimize their IT systems and better run their businesses. In 1998, recognizing an opportunity to improve efficiency within its own operations, the company transformed its best practices into an integrated, workflow-driven business management solution that would ultimately benefit all IT services companies. That project resulted in the creation of ConnectWise PSA, a professional services automation software application.

Today, ConnectWise is used by over 1,600 IT services companies across the globe. With over 22,000 users, ConnectWise automates the full life cycle of IT services delivery – from sales and service to project tracking and back-office functions. ConnectWise has continually incorporated important new technologies, such as streamlining managed service operations and integrating mobile devices for field service operations.

Growth Fueled by Excellence in ‘MSP’ Market
Managed services represents one of the fastest-growing aspects of the IT industry, and the rapid growth of ConnectWise and its Professional Services Automation software is closely linked to this trend. Many IT service providers are establishing MSP (managed service provider) business models that enable them to remotely address IT requirements, which significantly reduces the “cost to serve” for them and their customers. This includes hosting many network applications and other services with or without extensive technology infrastructure on site at the respective business locations.

ConnectWise’s expertise as an MSP on a local level contributes to its unparalleled success and reputation on a national scale in providing the functionality that MSPs need to do business profitably and with superior customer service levels. The company’s knowledge and advances in this market are supported by the largest advisory council of its kind, with 21,000 partners across the country.

“Our customers and partners depend on us to provide the products and services they need to create market success and operate as cost-effectively as possible,” commented ConnectWise CEO Arnie Bellini. “Today’s business world is facing unprecedented pressures, especially considering current economic factors like escalating fuel prices. The technological innovation we provide ultimately helps offset those and many other rising expenses by dramatically improving overall productivity.”
